Becca Jewett (She/Her) is a Costa Rican-American costume designer who is based in Boston, MA. She focuses her work on telling stories that uplift marginalized groups and allow them to tell their stories. She was the 2015 recipient of the Virgil C. Jonson Award for Excellence in Costume Design. She is currently working with various theaters in town as well as heading the Dye shop for the Santa Fe Opera. Her most recent design credits include Costume Designer for Speakeasy's production of "A Strange Loop", Actor Shakespeare Project's production of "King Hedley II" and New Rep's Productions of "A Raisin in the Sun" and "Diaspora". She has been a guest lecturer at Merrimack College, UMass Lowell and UMass Amherst. Becca enjoys many facets of the costume world and has been the Costume Shop Manager at MRT and a Draper at the Tony award winning Huntington Theatre Co. She is the owner of Becca Jewett Costumes which specializes in Costume Crafts and Dye work.
